Q & A

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a health condition in men. It is when you are unable to hold a proper erection while having sex. This is also known as impotence. The main cause is the narrowing of the arteries that take blood to the penis. If you can successfully gain an erection the majority of times you are aroused, you should not be worried if you were to experience a one-off spell of ED. Most men will face or will have faced a moment in which they are unable to gain an erection when needed. This can be a temporary condition due to stress, tiredness, or inebriation. However, if you are suffering from other major ED conditions, do not worry. ED is a treatable health condition, most commonly by a medicine taken before sex.

Caverject Dual Chamber Injection is a vasodilator which helps maintain an erection. It improves the blood flow into the penis by expanding the blood vessels when sexually stimulated. Caverject treatment will increase and maintain an erection. It contains alprostadil which is similar to prostaglandin E1. The latter is a natural substance present in the body. The dose of 5-20 micrograms works well in most cases. However, some men may require a higher dose.

Can I still drink alcohol?

Technically yes, as there are no known direct interactions between Caverject and alcohol. But drinking alcohol can reduce your ability to get an erection, so we would advise against it when using this treatment.

Will I still be able to drive?

Caverject only works for a short period of time, so should not affect your ability to drive. However, there is a chance that you may experience side effects which might make it dangerous to drive, and in these cases you should refrain from doing so and speak to a doctor right away.

How should I store it?

Keep Caverject in a cool, dry storage environment, below 25 degrees. The medicine should be stored in its original packaging to protect it from sunlight and moisture. The product expires three months after it has been dispensed by the pharmacy.

Am I allergic to anything in the medicine?

As well as the active ingredient alprostadil, Caverject also contains lactose, sodium citrate, hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide. If you are allergic to any of these ingredients, do not use this treatment.

To complete your purchase, take our questionnaire. Once completed, a registered doctor will review your answers and issue a prescription, if suitable. This prescription will be sent to our practising pharmacy who will dispense your treatment. Orders are shipped by secure next-day courier.
