Q & A

Rosacea is also known as Acne Rosacea. It is a skin condition which mostly affects your face, sometimes including the neck, chest, and ears. It is usually seen in middle-aged people. Symptoms may appear during the early 20s; but usually, they are seen in 30-60 years’ age group. Women suffer more than men but their symptoms are less severe than men’s. Acne Rosacea is not contagious and cannot spread from one person to another. Symptoms of this condition are mild and antibiotics usually work on them. However, if you have an eye problem, see a doctor immediately as it could be serious. Acne Rosacea is not painful or itchy. But some infected people may experience a burning sensation over the affected area. It can be distressing but no serious complications are known.

Duac Once Daily Gel is an antibiotic skin medicine. It is used to treat acne. It contains two active ingredients: benzoyl peroxide and clindamycin phosphate. Duac Once Daily gel is used to treat mild to moderate acne. Clindamycin works as an antibiotic which stops the bacteria from multiplying. Benzoyl peroxide reduces the whiteheads and blackheads. It also kills the bacteria and lowers the inflammation. This gel is not recommended for children under 12.
